We are committed to providing a safe and respectful environment.
Abusive, aggressive or threatening behaviour towards staff or patients will result in discontinuation of care and REMOVAL from the surgery. We operate a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY. Where necessary, An Garda Síochána (Police) will be contacted.
We use CCTV recording for the following legitimate purposes:
-
To ensure the safety and security of our patients, visitors, and staff.
-
To protect the clinic's premises, medical equipment, and property from damage or theft.
-
Cameras are strictly located in public and communal areas only, including: External building entrances and exits / main reception desk and waiting area
Appointments:
Appointments are available via ONLINE BOOKING and are allocated on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED basis, subject to clinical triage and capacity. Same-day appointments are not routinely available; urgent medical issues will always be assessed appropriately and triaged by a GP.
-
Single Problem Only: Each consultation will address one medical issue per visit.
-
Please bring your medical card to each appointment. Failure to do bring your GMS card will result in cancellation of your appointment.
-
Time Limit: Consultations are strictly limited to 15 minutes.
-
Compliance: Patients exceeding the allotted time may be asked to leave to respect the schedule for others.
Allocation of GP Services
Patients are registered with the practice NOT an individual GP. There is no entitlement to consult a specific named GP. The practice reserves the right to allocate appointments based on clinical need, availability and operational requirements.
Prescribing & Controlled Drugs
Prescribing decisions are made in accordance with Medical Council and HSE guidance and remain at the professional discretion of the GP. Certain medications, including long-term benzodiazepines, Z-drugs and opioids / Inappropriate painkillers for chronic non-cancer pain, are NOT prescribed.
Non GMS Medical Card Services
Our Medical Card Services offer essential support and guidance for navigating the healthcare system in Ireland. While the Medical Card covers many services, it does not include all GP medical assistance. Please familiarise yourself with the list of payable services available to Medical Card and GP Visit Card holders by clicking below.
